Our Story and Our Mission

Cooney Health was founded in 2003 without a single client and has since grown into one of the largest, independent benefit firms in the state.

Service to our existing customers is our number one priority. We have many years’ experience specializing in group benefits. Our staff is dedicated, knowledgeable, and caring. We are fortunate to be serving some of the finest organizations in their fields. We live in the area and are active in the community.

Matt Cooney, the Founder and President, was designated as a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) by The Wharton School of Business and the International Foundation of Employee Benefits. Matt holds his Massachusetts Life and Health license. He credits his loyal and hard-working staff for the firm’s success. Matt resides in Wellesley and enjoys traveling to Cape Cod and national parks with his wife and two children.
